The Repertoire sung by Enniscorthy Choral Society is varied and broad ranging. Performing in mixed voice arrangements the choir has sung a-cappella (purely voice) and in orchestral part-song. Below are some of the arrangements in choirs repertoire.
Gaeilge & Irish Compositions
During the centuries many European composers including Handel used Dublin as their base. While more recent composers have experimented with Celtic influences and the adaptation of traditional Irish music, contemporary Irish composers explore the idea of transmitting ‘the poetry and language of a nation through song.’

Christmas Music & Carols
Carols most probably originate from the French 'carole' (joyous song). Known throughout Europe in the late medieval era, in later periods the carol developed in two lines; popular and composed. Popular carol merged with folk songs, while the composed carol revolved around sacred texts and Christmas themes. The 19th century saw a resurgence of carol writing and the translation of many European carols giving us the wonderful selection we have today.
